Connect GitHub
Complete GitHub sign-in to enable Source Control.
Overview
Connecting GitHub in Source Control enables repository import, existing remote connection, and publishing. Authorization happens in a separate GitHub window.
Before you start
- Browser permission to open the authorization window
- Signed-in GitHub and Reporch accounts
Steps
1. Open Source Control
Open the Source Control panel in the IDE.
2. Start connection
Choose Connect with GitHub.
3. Approve on GitHub
Confirm the account and approve the requested access in the new window.
4. Confirm completion
Return to the IDE and verify the completed connection and enabled repository actions.
Expected result
- GitHub Import and remote repository actions become available.
- OAuth credentials are not written directly into documentation or workspace files.
Troubleshooting
- Allow pop-ups for the IDE host if no window opens.
- If the wrong GitHub identity was approved, confirm the GitHub session and reconnect.
